Private TV channel has reported that Federal government has removed the proscribed status of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).

Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday approved the submission to his cabinet of a summary seeking the revocation of Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan’s (TLP’s) proscribed status.

It is worth mentioning here that the federal governmentin mid of April 2021 had formally banned the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), whose supporters staged three days of violent protests across the country this week after the arrest of their leader.

A notification declaring TLP as a proscribed organisation was issued by the Ministry of Interior shortly after the federal cabinet approved a summary to ban the party.
