PTI govt’s decision to withdraw security from leaders of different political parties in KP is criminal: Shehbaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s decision to withdraw security from the leaders of different political parties in KP is criminal, to say the least, especially when Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, Engineer Amir Muqam and Mian Iftikhar Hussain have already been attacked.

In a statement issued on twitter on Sunday, Shehbaz Sharif questioned who will be responsible if something untoward happens?

“PTI govt’s decision to withdraw security from the leaders of different political parties in KP is criminal, to say the least, especially when Aftab Sherpao, Amir Muqam & Mian Iftikhar have already been attacked. Who will be responsible if something untoward happens?” Shehbaz Sharif tweeted on Sunday.

It is worth mentioning here that on Sunday, the concerned authorities have taken back special police security from several politicians in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The key leaders included Awami National Party’s senior vice-president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, Aimal Wali Khan, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) head Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Amir Muqam and others.
