SC summons chief secretary KP on the matter of filing time barred appeal pleas in the case of service and pension of government employees

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned for indefinite period hearing of different appeal pleas filed by KP government regarding service and pension of government employees.

The court summoned chief secretary KP for filing time barred appeals by KP.

A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed took up the case for hearing Wednesday.,

CJP Gulzar Ahmed while addressing Advocate General KP remarked “advocate general Sahab you want to get approve the appeal pleas illegally. Bid is made to get affix approval stamp of SC on wrong works. Time barred appeal pleas are being filed from KP consistently. Call the chief secretary KP and and we will seek explanation from him.

Advocate general KP while giving arguments took the plea the process of filing some appeal pleas was delayed due to corona virus.

The court while summoning chief secretary KP on filing time barred appeal pleas by KP government adjourned the hearing of the case for indefinite time.

The SC has maintained the chief secretary KP should appear in the court on next hearing and present report about the officers who had filed time barred appeal pleas besides giving explanation.
