Without waiting for US & Europe, Pakistan should recognize victory of the Afghan people: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE : Liaqat Baloch, Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and President of the Political Electoral Affairs Committee has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s attitude towards the situation in Afghanistan is irrational, non-diplomatic and arrogant. Without waiting for the United States and Europe, Pakistan should recognize the victory of the Afghan people and the interim government on an interim basis for the sake of peace, stability and close ties with the Afghan people in the region. The United Nations and international organizations have also turned a blind eye to the Kashmir issue. Similarly, the government of Pakistan has lost sight and courage on the Kashmir issue.

Liaqat Baloch said that if the role of the civil-military establishment is unbalanced and falls into the hands of one party in civil politics, this balance is upset. Political turmoil makes all things worse and more unbalanced. The Establishment must now play a non-partisan constitutional role. The incompetence and failure of governments leads the people to distance themselves from the military establishment . This situation is very dangerous for national security. To reach a consensus on national priorities, all stakeholders must come forward for a national dialog.

Liaqat Baloch said that price hike, unemployment, inflation, continuous increase in production cost, electricity, petrol, gas, taxes will drown the government’s fleet. Ministers should come in public and inspect the bazaars; the people will tell them the price of flour, oil and pulses. On October 31, people from all over the country will march towards Islamabad against price hike, unemployment, corruption and government’s protection to the corrupt mafia. Youth from all over the country will be the vanguard of this march.

Expressing shock and condolences on the demise of PML-N leader, MNA Muhammad Pervaiz Malik, Liaqat Baloch said that Lahore politics had lost a decent, moral and wise politician
