RAWALAKOT: 10 persons including 7 children were killed and 4 were critically injured when a mud bricked house collapsed due to torrential rains in the village Tahi of Tatta Pani are in Azad Kashmir on the night between Sunday and Monday.

All the members of the family were asleep when the roof of the home caved in due to heavy rains. All the members of family were buried under the wreckage and 10 persons including 7 children died on the spot. 4 sustained injuries who were shifted to DHQ Kotli.

Rescue operation faced difficulties due to heavy rains However the locals retrieved the dead bodies and the injured persons on self help basis.

One Muhammad Saeed, a driver from tourism department told the journalists that two families were living in the home. A guest child who had come from Jhang was also among the victims, he said.
