Malakand: 15 people were killed and nine other including children and women sustained injuries when a truck overturned on Swat Motorway in Malakand in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to DSP Motorway Police Noorul Amin accident took police due to over speeding. Truck overturned and plunged into hundreds feet deep ravine.

Heavy contingent of police, aid workers and local rushed to the scene.

The bodies and injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, Batkhela. immediately.

Noor ul Amin further said all the persons on board the truck were nomads who belonged to Bahrain area of Swat.

Several injured are stated to be in critical condition.

DSP Motorway said further investigation into the accident is underway.
