Rajouri: At least twenty-six schoolchildren were injured when a minibus skidded off the road near Thandikassi in Rajouri district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), exposing once again the alarming state of public safety and road infrastructure under the Modi-led regime.
The accident occurred on Tuesday morning when the vehicle, bearing registration number JK02AM 8074, went out of control near Ziarat Thandikassi. All the injured students were shifted to the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Rajouri, while two critically wounded children were referred to Jammu for specialised treatment.
The incident has triggered widespread outrage over the deplorable condition of roads in the occupied territory, particularly in hilly districts like Rajouri and Poonch. Locals complained that despite repeated assurances by the occupation authorities, poor road maintenance and overburdened transport services continue to pose grave risks to commuters.
Observers noted that such accidents reflect the broader neglect of civilian infrastructure in IIOJK, where heavy militarisation and corrupt administrative practices have left basic amenities, including roads, in a state of disrepair. The Modi regime's claims of 'development' in the occupied region stand exposed as recurring mishaps continue to endanger innocent lives, especially those of schoolchildren.
