Islamabad: JUI-F head Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said his party rejects 27th constitutional amendment.

" we were ignored in 27th constitutional amendment. It was job of government to make consultation with the opposition. We have to see first of all basic issue. No betterment will come in the constitution due to 27th amendment. This amendment cannot meet the requirement of national interest. Government wants to keep judiciary in its claws. Why president has been declared innocent person, he said this while addressing a press conference on the occasion of JUI-F Majlis-e-Shoora meeting here Tuesday.

He went on to say some time back 26th amendment came. Talks ran with government. PTI was also on board at that time. Its proposals were also taken.

The approval of 27th constitutional amendment was forced and fake. It has not added to dignity of powers which have brought this amendment.

JUI-F has categorically rejected the 27th constitutional amendment . Our members opposed this amendment in parliament. Majlis Shoora endorsed this decision of parliamentarians of JUI-F.

The two thirds majority in the passage of 27th constitutional amendment was counterfeit and forced. This all happened against parliament and democracy.

The popularity of government nosedived among the people due to this amendment.

Such complications were created by approving the amendment that even court is not understanding them.

In principle , JUI-F was in favor of constitutional court.

When constitution was being formed, the stance of parties was different.

He noted that PPP made consultation with all parties despite its two thirds majority. Small provinces were taken into confidence.

How PPP went against the ideology of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto today, he questioned.

PPP played role in negation of democracy. It sided with government in undemocratic process.

He held some office bearers were given immunity for life. Zardari remained in jail for 8 years on allegations during military regime. Today it is being said to him no case will run against him life time. Did Pakistan law not present him in court for 8 years. why so after his assumption of office of president. why he was declared innocent person, he questioned.
