Islamabad: District and Sessions court Islamabad has appointed state counsel for Imaan Mazari and her husband Hadi Ali Chatha in controversial tweet case.

Shakil Ahmad advocate has been appointed as state counsel.

Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha had raised objection over the state counsel who was earlier appointed. The counsels for Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali had presented pictures of the state counsel with Hamza Shahbaz. Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali had requested for removing state counsel due to his political affiliations. Additional and sessions judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka took up the case for hearing .

Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha appeared in the court. Hadi Ali Chatha recorded his statement in the court.

On frequent interruption by prosecutor, an exchange of hard words took place between Hadi Ali Chatha and prosecutor. Hadi Ali Chathha said this court has already decided to award punishment to us. Our appeal against indictment is pending hearing in Islamabad High Court.

Hadi Ali Chatha expressed non -confidence on court.

Judge Afzal Majoka got written the order of today's hearing.

On the request of Hadi Ali Chatha and Imaan Mazari judge Afzal Majoka got removed the sentence of contempt of court from order.

Judge Afzal Majoka said as far as I am concerned I will surrender. But where law is concerned. implementation of law will be there.

Hearing of the case was adjourned till November 27.
