27th constitutional amendment passed with consensus , even no member of PTI has voted against it: Senator Pervez Rashid

Lahore: PML-N senator Pervez Rashid has said 27th constitutional amendment has been passed with consensus of all political parties and even no member of PTI has voted against this amendment.

Talking in a private TV channel program he said there are about 2- dozen judges in Supreme Court (SC). The strength reaches hundreds if judges of high courts are included. Only two judges among them have objected to it.

They objected the constitution was abrogated and the second objection they raised SC was split into pieces. The other judges differ from these objections. No other judge has accepted this plea of these two judges.

He indicated 64 Senators voted in favor of amendment in Senate and no one stood against the amendment. When any one has not opposed then we will say this amendment has been approved with consensus.

Only three people who were from JUI-F opposed the amendment which was passed yesterday.

He held parliament has right to make amendment in the constitution. This is our constitutional right. Even judges of Supreme Court (SC) are product of constitution. All the parties had pledged for formation of constitutional court in charter of democracy. PTI had signed charter of democracy.
