3 prisoners move FCC seeking medical facilities provided to Imran Khan

Islamabad: 3 Adiala jail prisoners have resorted to Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) and sought the medical facilities for them which are provided to PTI founder Imran Khan.

They have requested for nullifying the decision of Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The petitioners took the plea article 25 of the constitution makes it binding to mete out equal treatment to all citizens. Therefore the medical facilities which are being provided to Imran Khan be provided to them too.

It has been said in the petition that Supreme Court (SC) order is still in the field and SC had issued order on August 18 to shift Imran Khan to Shifa hospital ,

The prisoners requested the court to order for arranging their treatment from Shifa International.

They also said that in the light of SC order facility to talk abroad through whatsapp like Imran Khan be also provided to them.

The petitions of three prisoners of Adiala jail including Owais Altaf, Ilyas Khan and Muhammad Ismail were rejected by high court.

They had taken plea in their petition that they be provided not only the facility for treatment from private hospital like Imran Khan but also facility be provided for making telephonic calls abroad.
