Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi division bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) has nullified the decision regarding acquittal of the accused in rape case of girl student 9.The court got the accused handcuffed in the court room.Rawalpindi high court nullified the decision on acquittal of the accused and announced punishment of life term. When high court sent back the case after cancelling the decision related to acquittal then sessions judge again acquitted the accused.The court accepted appeal plea of widow mother of girl for awarding sentence. The offender was awarded life imprisonment and fine of Rs 4 lac.Police arrested the accused as soon as the decision was announced and handcuffed him.Additional Sessions Judge Rawalpindi acquitted the offender Azam twice.High Court said the matters of daughters are sensitive. The verification of rape by medical board was the biggest evidence.Waris Khan police had registered case in 2023. Girl student Imaan Fatima, resident of glass factory was raped.Widow mother Nadi a Bibi filed appeal two times in high court against acquittal.Rawalpindi division bench comprised Justice Sadqat Ali Khan and Justice Tariq Bajwa.
