Islamabad: Federal Police have filed report on elimination of drugs in educational institutions of Islamabad in Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The report said federal capital has been divided in five different zones for awareness campaign against the drugs.
According to report 21 cases were registered during January 2026 and 21 persons were arrested. 1530 grams charas and 4641 grams heroin were recovered.
The report said meetings were held by police officers with educational institutions in the area of all zones. Open Kutcheries were held in 9 different areas of Islamabad. Special units were set up at police station level in connection with eradication of drugs.
According to reports special training for police officers is being started in connection with elimination of narcotics, collection of evidence besides ensuring conviction of accused from courts.
Federal police filed report for the year 2025 and January 2026 in the court.
27 cases were registered and 30 accused were arrested during 2025. 19660 grams charas, 3390 grams heroin, 4073 grams ice and 120 tablets were recovered in 2025.
During January 2026, 1530 grams charas, 4641 grams heroin and 2226 grams ice were recovered. These all raids were conducted in surrounding areas of the institutional institutions. Awareness campaign was also launched.
