Islamabad: The Nutshell Group will host the ninth edition of the LEADERS IN ISLAMABAD BUSINESS SUMMIT (LIIBS) 2026 on Thursday, September 17, bringing together federal ministers, global institutional leaders and leading corporate executives for high-level discussions on Pakistan's economic, technological and geopolitical direction.
This year's summit, themed "The Next Move," will focus on Pakistan's strategic, economic and technological choices and the stakeholders who will shape the country's next phase of development.
The summit will open with an inaugural session titled "The Next Move: Reading the Moment", featuring Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani, Federal Minister and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Privatisation Muhammad Ali, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, and keynote speaker Lucia Real Martin, Global Executive Director of ACCA.
Five strategic dialogues will be held during the summit, covering geopolitics, business, technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, capital markets, finance and Pakistan's broader economic outlook.
The session on "Geopolitics, Geoeconomics and Pakistan" will feature senior representatives from the International Finance Corporation, UNDP Pakistan, BASF Pakistan, InfraZamin Pakistan and Acumen.
Another session, "Business, Technology and the New Competitive Landscape," will bring together senior executives from VEON Group, TCS Holdings, easypaisa Digital Bank, ABACUS and Abhi Group.
The summit will also feature a discussion on "AI, Digital Transformation and Economic Value," with senior representatives from SAP, S and P Global Pakistan, Mobilink Bank, foodpanda and Systems Limited.
A session titled "Capital, Finance and the Confidence Economy" will focus on investment, financial markets and the business environment, with participation from senior representatives of the Pakistan Business Council, NBP Funds, Mashreq Pakistan, Lucky Investments, Al Meezan Investment Management, Raqami Islamic Digital Bank and Sustainadility.
The event will conclude with a discussion titled "Pakistan's Moment of Choice," featuring former caretaker Prime Minister Senator Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Senator Dr. Musadik Malik, former Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Pakistan Business Council Chairman Ziad Bashir, JazzWorld CEO Aamir Ibrahim and Executive Director of The Express Tribune Fahd Hussain.
The summit is being supported by leading corporate, financial, technology and research organizations, including Coca-Cola Pakistan, ABACUS, Systems, S and P Global, ACCA, Serena Hotels and several major banks and business groups.
