Islamabad: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad has ordered to block passports of 24 MNAs and MPAs of PTI including Chief Minister (CM) Sohail Afridi. Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain of ATC issued the decision for blocking passports. Police had requested the court for blocking the passports in connection with case registered in police station Kohsar.

The court issued order to block passport of CM KP Sohail Afridi. The court has also ordered to block the passports of Asad Qaisar, Shehram Tarkai, Sher Ali Arbab, Shah Ahad, Muhammad Iqbal Afridi, Dr Amjid Ali, Junaid Akbar, Shahid Khattak, Zubair Wazir.

Order has also been issued to block passports of Umar Ayub, Arshid Umar Zai, Zar Alam, Mian Umar, Akhtar Khan, Hummayun Khan, Riaz Khan, Abdul Kabir Khan, Tufail Anjum, Asif Mehsood, Ajab Gull, Muhammad Usman, Babar Salim Swati, Irfan Salim, advocate Ali Zaman and Malik Shahab.

The court maintained that grave allegations like attacks on state institutions and promotion of terrorism are against the accused persons. The accused failed to appear before the court. The court remarked the accused who sought interim bail also did not join investigation of the case. The plea of investigation officer for blocking the passports is accepted. The court directed FIA to block the passports of the accused persons till next orders.
