Islamabad: Attorney General (AG) has informed Islamabad High Court (IHC) government has no objection over the appeal in connection with release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui on compassionate grounds.Justice Ejaz Ishaq Khan issued written order of the hearing of the case Saturday.According to order AG informed IHC government has no objection over appeal for release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui on compassionate grounds. AG assured there is no reason with government that it does not stand with appeal for release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui on compassionate grounds.The order further said government will too file mercy appeal separately in connection with release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui. As per AG the matter will be discussed with US government on the occasion of UN session.Work is being done forcefully on the agreement for exchange of prisoners with US.As per AG , 3 weeks are required with reference to agreement on exchange of prisoners with US.
