Lahore: A meeting of the Central Board of the Alkhidmat WASH Program was held under the chairmanship of Vice President and Board Chairman Syed Ihsanullah Waqas. The meeting reviewed the WASH projects completed during the year 2025 and set targets for projects for the coming year.
The meeting was attended by Central Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri, National Director WASH Program Syed Rashid Daud, Regional President Akramul Haq Subhani, CEO Alkhidmat Khubaib Bilal, along with central and regional office-bearers from across Pakistan.
Syed Ihsanullah Waqas stated that last year Alkhidmat completed 2,063 water projects. In flood-affected areas, more than 800,000 liters of clean drinking water were provided to flood victims through 10 water filtration plants. During floods in Gilgit-Baltistan, 30 water tankers were distributed. In mountainous and hard-to-reach areas, 23 gravity flow water supply schemes were installed.
He said that under the Alkhidmat WASH Program, activities were organized at 57 locations a
cross Pakistan on World Water Day to highlight the importance of clean water, elimination of pollution, and other related issues. These activities included clean water photo exhibitions, walks, seminars, and other programs.
On the occasion of World Water Day, Ramzan Asan Iftar, Bano Qabil programs, and other religious events, more than 500,000 bottles of water were distributed. In Karachi, under groundwater initiatives, the WASH Board approved special water projects, and during the year 29 deep boring projects were installed.
Hygiene awareness sessions were conducted and hygiene kits were distributed in Aghosh, Sheikhupura, and Gujranwala.
Sindh Region: Washrooms were constructed at 9 different locations, and 27 washrooms were completed at 9 sites in Kunri, Umerkot.
South Punjab: Washrooms were constructed in Muzaffargarh. The Alkhidmat WASH Program Board also approved 12 special water boring projects for the underdeveloped and water-scarce areas of Gwadar for the coming year.

yed Waqas Jafri said that Alkhidmat Foundation is actively pursuing its mission of serving humanity in various sectors, and the provision of clean water is an important part of this effort. He added that since last year, Alkhidmat has expanded its scope by including sanitation and hygiene services along with cleanliness initiatives, so that people can have better opportunities to prevent diseases and lead healthier lives.
