Gujrat: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab, Dr. Tariq Saleem, has stated that the Alkhidmat Foundation is continuing its mission of serving humanity without discrimination based on religion, caste, color, or race. He stated that following the recent devastating rains and floods across the country, Alkhidmat Foundation has launched a large-scale relief operation to assist the affected families.
Dr. Tariq Saleem expressed these views while addressing a ceremony in Gujrat, where essential household items were distributed among flood-affected families.
Dr. Tariq Saleem highlighted that more than 15,000 volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation are working tirelessly in flood-hit areas, providing food, tents, clean drinking water, and other essential household items to those in need. He stressed that this is the time for unity and solidarity, urging people from all walks of life to contribute generously so that affected families can be rehabilitated at the earliest.
Dr. Tariq Saleem further said that Alkhidmat Foundation has already provided ration bags, clean drinking water, and medical facilities to thousands of affected families. Temporary shelters have also been established, where displaced individuals, including children, are being accommodated. Medical teams of the Foundation are actively delivering first aid, medicines, and vaccines to protect victims from infectious diseases in flood-hit regions. Additionally, the Alkhidmat Foundation is developing a comprehensive rehabilitation plan to support the long-term recovery of affected families.
