Alkhidmat Foundation starts the relief & rescue operation for the war affected families: Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri

Rawalpindi: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has started the relief and rescue operation for the war affected families. Planning has been completed to allocate 30 percent beds of the 57 hospitals, medical centers, 50 ambulances and blood bank.

Central Secretary General Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri while talking to media said that Alkhidmat Mobile Health Unit, medicines of Rs 10 million, one thousand tents, five thousand tarpaulins and other equipment has been dispatched to the line of control and war affected areas. He said that in the first phase medicines with the cost of Rs 100 million have been purchased. He said that while alerting 41 Alkhidmat Response Centers, the necessary equipment has been provided to them.

Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri said that provision of relief goods to the affectees of Indian shelling in Bedu and Sheru Dhara Haveli areas along with line of control in Azad Kashmir has been started. He said that cooked food, clothes and other relief goods are being provided to the affectees who have taken refuge in Government Shool Nar Sher Ali Khan.

Chairman Alkhidmat Health Foundation Dr. Muhammad Zahid Latif and Chief Executive Officer Khubaib Bilal dispatched the relief goods to war affectees of line of control and other areas.

Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri said that central war crisis cell is monitoring rescue and relief operation in Azad Kashmir and whole country, adding that on the other hand at regional level in South Punjab, Central Punjab, North Punjab, Azad Kashmir and at local level quick response centers have been upgraded and equipped with necessary equipment. He said that in the volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation reached in Rawalpindi and other areas immediately after the Indian drone attacks. He said that in 13 regions and 150 districts 6,000 trained and 75,000 supporting Alkhidmat volunteers are completely ready for emergency situation. He said that if the need arises the planning has been completed and practical steps have been taken to establish tent village or to rehabilitate affected families in any area.
