Alkhidmat Women Trust Lahore organizes a dignified send-off for 40 deserving daughters

Lahore: Under the auspices of Alkhidmat Women Trust Lahore, dowry gifts were distributed among 40 families. A dignified ceremony was held in Mansoorah in this regard.The event was attended by Vice President of Alkhidmat Women Trust Saba Saqib, former Member of the National Assembly Dr. Sameeha Raheel Qazi, Deputy Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Women Iffat Sajjad, along with other distinguished guests, brides, and their mothers.The dowry gifts included bridal dresses, clothes for both the bride and groom, jewelry, bedding, a dinner set, a water cooler, a trunk, kitchen utensils, shoes, and other daily-use items.Speaking at the ceremony, Sameeha Raheel Qazi said that Alkhidmat Women is performing numerous welfare services, including addressing the hardships of underprivileged segments of society, facilitating the dignified marriage of poor girls, providing skills to unemployed women to help them earn a livelihood, supporting orphaned children, and providing healthcare facilities and ration in under developed areas.She urged philanthropists to participate generously in these charitable efforts so that the service of humanity can continue effectively.Saba Saqib said that the purpose of the wedding gift distribution program is to support deserving families facing financial difficulties. Through such welfare initiatives, not only are needy families assisted, but the concept of simple and dignified marriages is also promoted, helping to discourage unnecessary expenses in society.She added that a total of 40 deserving families were provided with essential wedding gifts so that parents could arrange their daughters' marriages with dignity and ease. The participants described this initiative as an excellent example of social service and appreciated the meaningful efforts of Alkhidmat Women Trust. The speakers said that such welfare projects promote hope, cooperation, and brotherhood in society.
