Karachi: Chief Executive Officer, Alkhidmat Karachi, Naveed Ali Baig, has stated that Alkhidmat is sponsoring 2,400 orphaned children in their homes, a program sustained throughout the year with the support of generous donors. He said that monthly stipends are provided to these resilient children to help them meet their educational and basic needs, enabling them to continue their studies with dignity. 'These children represent the bright future of our country,' he emphasized. 'It is our collective responsibility to protect them from despair and deprivation. Alkhidmat is holding their hands to help them move forward in life.'Naveed Ali Baig expressed these views during the health screening of registered orphans under the Alkhidmat Orphan Care Program at Alkhidmat Nazimabad Hospital, where he personally met the children and placed a hand of affection on their heads. Later, Executive Director of Alkhidmat Karachi, Rashid Qureshi, also visited the camp to review the screening process. Naveed Ali Baig further s aid that Alkhidmat not only supports these children financially but also ensures their health and overall well-being. The organization arranges educational tours and recreational activities to provide them with joy and exposure. 'Caring for orphans is a great virtue and a Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him),' he added, urging philanthropists to support Alkhidmat's noble cause.Rashid Qureshi stated that Alkhidmat is sponsoring orphaned children across the country, and this year's annual health screening in Karachi covers all 2,400 registered children. Teams of specialist doctors in pediatrics, dentistry, ENT, and ophthalmology, along with medical staff, are conducting the screenings at various centers. He added, 'Through this process, we assess the children's health and provide treatment where needed.' In addition, health screening was also carried out in Lyari for children registered under the Orphan Care Program, where a total of 587 children were examined. The children received prescribed m edicines and valuable health advice from doctors.
