Islamabad: 8 majority judges of Supreme Court (SC) has issued another clarification in the case with reference to reserved seats.

It has been said in the clarification amendment in election act cannot render July 12 decision ineffective

In the second clarification sent by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah election commission has been directed to implement SC order in letter and spirit and there is no need of further clarification in this regard.

The decision cannot be rendered ineffective based on the retroactive application of the amendments to the Election Act. Therefore, after the short order, the amendments made to the Election Act will have no effect, it added.
