LAHORE:Lahore High Court (LHC) while declaring the petition against interim order of Punjab Property Tribunal (PPT) non maintainable has give the decision appeal or review petition can not be filed against the interim order of PPT.

Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal issued written order on the petitions filed by Ayyaz Ahmad and others.

The court maintained in the decision PPT is empowered to issue interim order regarding possession of the property. Appeal or review petition can be filed after final decision of the tribunal . Forum for appeal or review through constitutional petition cannot be provided.

it was said in the decision that the law of Punjab Protection of Ownership Property act is aimed at ending unnecessary litigation.

The other respondent got possession of the land through interim order of PPT which was issued in the light of report of District Scrutiny committee.

PPT had given order to provide inherited land to other respondent in the light of report of District Scrutiny Comm

The court upheld the interim order of PPT.
