ISLAMABAD: District and Sessions court Islamabad has adjourned till today (Wednesday) the hearing of appeal pleas filed by Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi against their conviction in Nikah during iddat case.
Judge Afzal Majoka questioned if there was right to resort then it was a civil matter. what relevance it has with criminal.
Suleman Akram Raja counsel for Imran Khan said this is not enough to say I would have resorted. Had fraud been committed then he would have gone to the court at that time and said I was to resort. One day Nikkah took place and on the other day Khawar Manika came to know about it. But he remained silent.

Additional Judge Afzal Majoka of district and sessions court heard the appeal pleas filed by PTI founder and Bushra Bini against the sentence in Nikah during iddat case Tuesday.

The counsel for Imran Khan requested the cour
t senior lawyer Suleman Safdar is coming within some time. Therefore, short interval be made in hearing.
Junior counsel to Khawar Manika also requested that senior lawyer Zahid Asif will appear at 1 p,m, therefore, interval be done in the hearing.
Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka said this case has to be decided. Suleman Safdar should give arguments. Court will note them.
The court announced interval till the arrival of Suleman Safdar.
On resumption of hearing Suleman Akram Raja counsel for Imran Khan argued ” I will give partial arguments today. The remaining case be fixed for tomorrow.
There is case of reserved seats in Supreme Court (SC) today. I have seen order on the petition of suspension of sentence. My some points are not written in the decision.
Judge Afzal Majoka while addressing Suleman Akram Raja said you have full time today and tomorrow too.
