Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Visits Muzaffarabad, Reaffirms Pakistan’s Support for Kashmiris

Muzaffarabad: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, visited Muzaffarabad today, paying tribute to the martyrs of the Kashmir freedom struggle and reaffirming Pakistan's unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to ISPR, upon arrival, the Army Chief visited the Martyrs' Memorial of Jammu and Kashmir, laid floral wreaths, and acknowledged the courage and sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for the Kashmir cause.

During interactions with local elders and veterans, Field Marshal Munir said that Indian oppression, human rights violations, and atrocities under Hindutva ideology have failed to suppress the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people. He reiterated that Pakistan stands in complete solidarity with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters and will continue to raise the issue at all relevant international forums until a just resolution is achieved in line with UN Security Council resolutions.

The Army Chief also lauded the professionalism, dedication, and combat readiness of officers and soldiers deployed in the Kashmir region and stressed the need for operational preparedness and coordination to deter provocations and respond decisively.

During the visit, Field Marshal Munir also toured a forward post, interacting with frontline troops and reaffirming that any act of aggression would be met with a swift and appropriate response.

Earlier, the Commander Rawalpindi Corps formally received the Chief of Army Staff upon his arrival.
