Karachi: Arrests of PTI workers under MPO-3 have been challenged in Sindh High Court (SHC).

Petition has been filed by PTI Sindh general secretary Mansoor Ali and others. Chief Secretary Sindh, home secretary Sindh, IG Police Sindh and others have been made respondents in the petition.

The court accepted the plea for urgent hearing of the petition. According to petitioner Sindh government hase issued orders for arresting 180 PTI workers by issuing notification on February 01 under MPO-3.

Ali Tahir counsel for the petitioner said PTI had announced to observe shutter down strike and peaceful protest on February 8. The petitioner has requested the court to declare notification issued under MPO null and void.
