Arshad Ayub Khan presides over Mid-Year review meeting

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Irrigation Arshad Ayub Khan has said that development work in the merged districts is bringing happiness in the lives of the people. The projects of the irrigation department in the merged districts are going on rapidly. With the completion of these projects, thousands of acres of land in the merged districts will be irrigated. Some of the projects are due for completion which will benefit the people soon.

He expressed these views in the Mid-year review meeting of ongoing and new projects under the Annual Development Program of the Irrigation Department for the year 2022-23 in the merged districts.

The review meeting was held in the conference room of the irrigation department on Friday.

The meeting was attended by Irrigation Secretary Muhammad Ayaz, Chief Engineer, Circle S.Es and other relevant officials.

The participants of the meeting were given a detailed briefing on the ongoing and new projects under the annual development program in the merged districts.

During the briefing, it was informed that work is being carried out on seventeen projects in the merged districts, while work on two new projects will start this year. four projects are in the stage of completion.

During the meeting, the Provincial Irrigation Minister expressed satisfaction with the speed of work and issued instructions for further improvement. He further said that official duties should be performed in the best way. With the keen interest of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, record projects have been started in various fields in the merged districts, the fruits of which have started to be seen by the people.
