Rawalpindi: Judge Malik Ijaz Asif of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has adjourned till August 12 hearing of bail before arrest plea of Bushra Bibi wife of PTI founder Imran Khan in 11 separate cases including attack on GHQ, May 9 violent demonstrations, attacks on police officers and jawans and siege and arson.Malik Muhammad Faisal counsel for the petitioner appeared in the court along with his team Saturday. The counsels for the respondents gave partly arguments in the court on maintainability or otherwise of the petition. The state counsels opposed the bail taking the plea that there is no room for interim bail without the personal presence of any accused .The counsels for the petitioner took the stance the petitioner is surrendering before the court throughher lawyer. The petitioner has not been arrested in any case related to May 9 so far despite the fact 14 months have passed after May 9 . During this period even remand of the petitioner has not been obtained in any case. This way law all ows if any accused is in jail since long period then the court can issue production order or can approve bail after verification from the jail authorities. As the petitioner is already in jail since long period and it is not possible for the petitioner to appear before the court in this situation. The counsels of Bushra Bibi told the court we have already filed petition in connection with issuance of production order of the petitioner. Therefore, court should direct prosecution on this petition to bring the petitioner from jail and produce her in the court.Prosecution took the plea Bushra Bibi cannot be presented in the court from jail. The counsels for the petitioner told the court as all the cases of May 9 are already fixed for jail trial on August 12 therefore this matter be kept pending till August 12 and the petitioner be presented on that day.The court adjourned the hearing of the case till August 12 after hearing the hearing of the counsels of the respondents.
