Islamabad: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad has directed to remove name of PTI senator Azam Swati from passport block list. ATC judge Abulhasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain took up the petition for hearing Monday.

Azam Swati had filed petition against blocking of his passport in the case registered in police station Kohsar. Azam Swati said he was in jail when this case was registered. His name was put in PBL to prevent him from going abroad.

Earlier Azam Swati was stopped at Peshawar airport in the month of August from going abroad.

On having been stopped from going abroad Azam Swati had filed contempt of court plea in PHC stating that he was not allowed to go abroad despite court's orders.

It is pertinent to mention here a two members bench of PHC while issuing order for removing name of Azam Swati from ECL had allowed him to go abroad.
