ATC dismisses the interim bail pleas of former opposition leader Omar Ayub

Lahore: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore has dismissed interim bail pleas of former opposition leader Omar Ayub in 3 cases related to siege and arson, Jainnah House attack and Askari Tower.

As per media reports, Judge Manzar Ali Gil of ATC dismissed the interim bail plea of PTI leader Omar Ayub in three cases related to siege and arson , Jinnah House attack and Askari tower due to his non appearance.

PTI leader Omar Ayub had filed bail pleas in these three cases which have been rejected by ATC due to his absence.

The court also rejected one day exemption plea of Omar Ayub.

It is pertinent to mention here ATC had awarded sentence to Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz, Sahibzada Hamid Raza Khan, Zartaj Gul and several other PTI leaders in May 9 siege and arson cases. Election Commission had deseated all the leaders.

National Assembly (NA) Secretariat removed Omar Ayub from the office of leader of the opposition in the perspective of EC decision. The member ship of different standing committees of other MNAs was revoked.

The Senate secretariat had abolished the post of Shibli Faraz as opposition leader in Senate.
