ATC Islamabad Fixes May 21 for Hearing in PTI Leaders’ Arrest Case

Islamabad: An Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad has scheduled May 21 for hearing cases related to the arrest of several leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including Umair Niazi, Rauf Hasan and Azam Swati.

The court had earlier extended interim bail in over 230 cases and directed authorities not to arrest the leaders until the next hearing. The cases relate to incidents including the November 26 protest, Sangjani rally, and demonstrations outside the Supreme Court.

Judge Abualhasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain instructed all parties to present final arguments at the next hearing. The accused appeared before the court during the previous proceedings.

Multiple cases have been registered against the leaders at Tarnol, Ramna, Aabpara, Secretariat and other police stations. ENDS/ONLINE NH/RT
