Rawalpindi: A division bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has approved federal government intra court appeal in Sheikh Rashid Ahmad Umrah case besides declaring single bench decision regarding permission to perform umrah null and void.The court has directed Sheikh Rashid o resort to Anti Terrorism Court (ATC).The division bench comprised justice Tariq Bajwa and justice Jawad Hassan.The court maintained as the appeal plea of Sheikh Rashid regarding performance of umrah is pending hearing in ATC , therefore, he should approach ATC.The court also directed ATC to hear the Umrah permission petition afresh and decide it after hearing respondents.The court had reserved judgment on March 13 on completion of the hearing.The court also maintained that the umrah petition of Sheikh Rashid dismissed in ATC would be considered as restored. The respective court would decide it afresh as per merit.
