Peshawar: PTI leader Azam Swati has been stopped from going abroad at Peshawar airport while the court was assured about his name being not in any stop list a day before on Tuesday.The plea was taken in the petition filed in Peshawar High Court (PHC) that name of Azam Khan Swati has been included in PNIC list. Due to it FIA has stopped him at Peshawar airport from going abroad.According to counsel for petitioner Azam Swati has been stopped despite court's orders. Upon it contempt of court petition is being filed in PHC today.It is pertinent to mention here PHC while approving plea of removing name of Azam Swati from Exit Control List (ECL) and Passport Control List (PCL) a day before had wrapped up case.During the hearing of the case Assistant Attorney General had told the court Azam Swati name is not included in any list now and he is allowed to travel.Upon it FIA representative had also assured the court the petitioner now can go abroad.
