Islamabad: Senator Samina Zehri has said in the meeting of standing committee girls of Balochistan are either giving birth to children or taking up guns.

As per media report, Senate standing committee on health met under Senator Amir Wali ud Din Chisti here Tuesday.

National Population and Reproductive health bill-2026 came under discussion in the meeting.

While talking in the meeting Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri said population is a major problem. Evolving policy on population is essential. Task Force was established in 2021 but no work has been done so far.

She said Balochistan girls are either giving birth to children or taking up guns.

She said one Maulana Sahb had said he would marry to 16 years old girl.

Chairman committee while smiling said this was hidden desire of Maulana Sahb.
