SAHIWAL: 4 robbers are reported to have been killed in alleged police encounter after looting a bank in Sahiwal.

4 robbers committed robbery in a bank on Midhali road. They came up there in a black colored car. They took the bank guard into the bank and subjected him to torture. They fled to Multan road after looting bank. Police sealed the area on information received in 15. A police encounter took place at Yousuf wala and 4 dacotis were killed during exchange of fire between the robbers and the police..

According to police the three among the killed dacoits have been identified as Riaz, Nadim and Indras. Two dacoits among them hailed from Lahore.

Police have recovered case amount of Rs 33 lac from the robbers car which they have looted from the bank.
