Becoming a doctor is not limited to obtaining a degree, it is human service. Speaker Punjab Assembly

Lahore: Speaker Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, attended the Convocation Ceremony of Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College as the chief guest. In his address, he stated that becoming a doctor is not just about obtaining a degree, but it is a noble human service. A successful doctor is one who does not consider their profession merely a source of income but makes human welfare their top priority. The Speaker acknowledged the sacrifices of parents in the medical field, highlighted the increasing costs of education in private medical colleges, and expressed hope that the hard work and sacrifices of parents would bear fruit.

Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan emphasized the importance of the healthcare sector in the face of the growing population in the country, praised the services of private medical institutions, and mentioned that discussions had been held with the Chief Minister of Punjab regarding the priorities and budget increases for the healthcare sector.

Referring to the current state of healthcare facilities in rural areas, the Speaker mentioned that he himself hails from a rural area and that the Government of Punjab is taking steps for the restoration of Rural Health Centers. However, private institutions must also play their part in providing quality medical services to rural populations.

At the end of the ceremony, the Speaker congratulated the successful young doctors and said that there is no greater joy for parents and teachers than seeing their children successfully complete their education.
