Quetta: Balochistan High Court (BHC) decision against enforced disappearance of parents has been challenged in Federal Constitutional Court (FCC).
Bibi Shakriya filed petition in FCC through barrister Omar Ijaz Gillani for recovery of her parents.
The petitioner took the plea an influential government officer got her parents kidnapped from the area of Saryab Road Quetta on September 16, 2025. The parents have been disappeared forcibly since the last 3 months.
The petitioner further said police have refused to register case against the influential government officer.
No action has been taken so far despite availability of footage. Registering FIR is legal obligation of police.
The petition further said sister and her children have also been kept in habeas corpus along with enforced disappearance of parents. False allegation of holding Afghan citizenship was leveled against the entire family due to personal grudge. The entire family was subjected to violence, raids were conducted on homes and the whole family was expelled from country forcibly.
It was further said in the petition BHC had ordered to hold investigation . However court’s orders have not been implemented so far. Information in writing about life threats to parents was given before their kidnapping.
The petitioner has requested the court to give decision according to law and norms of justice.
