Lahore: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that a ceasefire agreement in Gaza is the fruit of the steadfastness of the people of Gaza.

In a statement issued on X, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that prisoner exchanges will take place and large-scale aid will be allowed in. He said that Palestinians have secured this ceasefire demand without compromising their right to self-defense. Credit goes to Hamas for negotiating under the most difficult conditions without compromising its freedom and sovereignty.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that now the United States, Muslim countries - and especially the mediators - have the responsibility to hold Israel accountable to implement the agreement so that the campaign of genocide in Gaza ends forever, reconstruction can begin, and an independent Palestinian state can be established. Netanyahu is an enemy of peace; monitoring his every move is the responsibility of the international community, he said.
