Central appeals against conviction of PTI founder, Bushra Bibi fixed for hearing on May 7 in 190 million pounds case

Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed on May 07 for hearing central appeal pleas filed against conviction of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in 190 million pounds case.

The court wrapped up the petitions on suspension of conviction being in- fructuous due to fixation of appeal pleas for hearing.

The court rejected the plea for hearing the petitions regarding suspension of conviction earlier.

A division bench of IHC comprising Chief Justice (JC) IHC Sardar Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif wrapped up the petitions seeking release of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi on bail by suspending their conviction being in -fructuous.

The court fixed central appeals against conviction for hearing on May 07.

PTI founder and Bushra Bibi had prayed the court to hear the petitions on suspension of conviction before hearing of central appeal. The court rejected their plea.

PTI founder and Bushra Bibi had filed petitions in March 2025 seeking suspension of conviction.

Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad has already awarded 14 years punishment and Rs 10 lac fine to PTI founder and 7 years punishment and 5 lac fine to Bushra BIBI in 190 million pounds case.
