Islamabad: A review meeting regarding the ongoing development projects in Islamabad was held at the CDA Headquarters on Monday, chaired by Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa.The meeting was attended by CDA Board members including Member Admin Talat Mehmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon along with other senior officers. A briefing was given on the progress of the ongoing development projects in Islamabad.During the briefing on the construction progress of the "Assan Khidmat Markaz" project, it was apprised that work is progressing rapidly to ensure the completion of this project. The meeting was informed that over 65% of the development work for the "Assan Khidmat Markaz" project has been completed and the project will be completed soon and opened for citizens. It was further said that the "Assan Khidmat Markaz" is being established on modern lines, utilizing modern technology for public services.Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that while ensuring the timely completion of work on the "Assan Khidmat Markaz" project, high quality must be ensured under all circumstances. He said that the establishment of the "Assan Khidmat Markaz" will enable the citizens of Islamabad to access services and facilities from various departments under one roof.Relevant officers briefed Chairman CDA on the progress of the T-Chowk Flyover project and the Shaheen Chowk Underpass project, informing him that approximately 80% of the work on the T-Chowk Interchange has been completed. Meanwhile, the process of girder launching has begun on the Shaheen Chowk Underpass project. The briefing said that construction activities are ongoing 24/7 to ensure the early completion of both the Shaheen Chowk Underpass and T-Chowk Flyover projects.Chairman CDA directed the installation of permanent LED lig hts and SMD's to make both projects beautiful and attractive.Briefing the Chairman CDA on the progress of the Faizabad Interchange Remodeling project, it was informed that work is progressing rapidly on the construction of new loops in order to complete the remodeling of Faizabad Interchange and to address the issue of traffic congestion of twin cities.Chairman CDA directed that a traffic plan be devised in coordination with the Traffic Police to maintain traffic flow during the construction work on the Faizabad Interchange Remodeling project.Chairman CDA was briefed that cameras have been installed for better monitoring of construction activities on all major ongoing projects in Islamabad.Chairman CDA directed the relevant officers and Project Directors to ensure 24/7 monitoring of all development projects through these cameras. He said that effective monitoring can ensure the timely completion and high quality of these projects.Chairman CDA said the aim of all these projects is to make Islamabad t he best and a model city in the world. He further said that all resources are being utilized to ensure the development and beautification of Islamabad city, as well as to provide the best facilities and services to its citizens.
