Islamabad: Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme, Senator Rubina Khalid, met Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah on Wednesday at BISP Headquarters.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the welfare of deserving women in Gilgit-Baltistan, their registration for inclusion in the programme, and the identification, outreach, assistance, and rehabilitation of deserving individuals and families affected by natural disasters under BISP. Other important matters of mutual interest were also discussed.
The Chairperson stated that enrolling deserving women from the remote areas of Gilgit-Baltistan into BISP is one of the programme’s top priorities.
