CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif Appeals Public to Take Precautionary Measures During Heatwave

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed all stakeholders to remain alert in Multan and Bahawalpur divisions in view of severe heatwave. She has appealed to the public to take precautionary measures and directed to keep children confined at home. She has directed to suspend open-air activities in all government and private schools.She has directed to make at least fans functional in all classrooms and to relax dress code for the students in view of severe heatwave. She has directed to ensure the presence of a first aid box in every school. She has directed the administration to provide shade, ORS mixed water, first aid counters and water coolers in all the crowded markets.She has also directed Rescue 1122 and health services to remain alert across the province. She has directed the Transport Department to ensure provision of shade, water and mist fans in all bus and wagon stands in the province. She has directed the farmers in Multan and Bahawalpur divisions to take due precautions in view of intense heatwave.She has appealed to the farm owners to provide shade and ample water for the livestock. She has also directed the general public to keep water for birds on their rooftops.
