CM Punjab approves Ramzan Nigehban package of Rs 47 billions

Lahore: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab has accorded approval to Rs 47 billion Ramzan Nigehban Package (RNP).42 lac deserving families in Punjab will be given Rs 10000 each.An important meeting was held under CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz in connection with preparations in advance for Ramzan and public relief.Under the directives of CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz, NADRA has worked out a major relief worth Rs 47 billion for Punjab.Maryam Nawaz Dastar Khan and Sahulat Bazars will be set up at Tehsil level in holy month of Ramzan.CM Punjab Ramzan Nigahban cards, Ration cards will be provided by district administration in every home in respective areas .The people will be able to obtain cash from Bank of Punjab Branchless banking agent through Ramzan Nigahban cards. Cash can be obtained through one link network ATM under Ramzan Nigahban cards. The Ramzan Nigahban cash cards holders will be able to make purchases from the shop keepers nominated by Bank of Punjab (BoP).136 activation centers will be set up for activatio n of C M Maryam Nawaz Ramzan Nigahban cards. The card can be activated at BOP ATM.Ration cards holders will be given Rs 10000 per month instead of Rs 3000 during holy month of Ramza in Punjab.Ramzan Nigahban dash board has been set up.Counter checking system will be set up by making calls to the Ramzan Nigahban card holders.Aftari will be arranged for 2000 rozadars daily under Nigahban dastar khan and Maryam kay Mehman in every tehsil of Punjab.During Ramazan, 65 Sahulat Bazaars will operate in 30 districts, along with 50 permanent and 15 mobile 'on-the-go' bazaars. Temporary Ramazan Sahulat Bazaars will also be established in 11 additional districts. The chief minister directed authorities to identify land immediately for new Sahulat Bazaars in 60 tehsils.To ensure transparency and quality control, a provincial monitoring room equipped with 1,250 cameras will oversee pricing, cleanliness, security and operations at Sahulat Bazaars. Special stalls by flour mills, chicken, grocery and ghee associat ions will also be set up to help reduce prices further.
