COB services launched in flood affected areas of Punjab under CM Punjab directives

Lahore: Clinic on Boats (COB) services have been launched in flood affected areas of Punjab'.

COB service has been launched for the first time in the history of country.

Under the directives of Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz COB service has been started in the flood hit areas in the province.

Punjab health team is active in flood affected areas throughout the province.

Special arrangements for providing medical facilities in flood hit areas have been made with launching a coordinated program for providing health care to women and children in the flood hit areas.

Doctors and staff are deployed for check up of pregnant women. Multi vitamin, sanitary kits and other necessary equipment for women is available in very flood camp. 24 hours Rural ambulance service has been provided to take pregnant women to Maryam Nawaz Health or hospitals timely.

Specialist doctors are visiting the camps daily for children treatment. Special arrangements have been made for vaccination for newly born children in flood relief camps.
