Islamabad: A complaint has been filed in the Supreme Judicial Council against Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Alia Neelum, and Justice Abhar Gul Khan.

The Council has been requested to review the educational qualifications and eligibility of both judges, as the complaint claims that they are not fit to hold judicial office. It alleges that Justice Abhar Gul Khan's degree is invalid and that his academic record should be verified before confirmation as a permanent judge.

The complaint also raises concerns over interference in Lahore's district judiciary, including the transfer of women district judges to remote areas. The allegations have been brought forward by affected female judges and judicial officers' parents, who wish to remain anonymous for protection.

The complainants have urged the Council to examine Justice Alia Neelum's interference in the district judiciary and to verify Justice Abhar Gul Khan's credentials before confirmation. If the allegations are proven correct, they have requested that both judges be removed from office.
