Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq paid visits on Friday to inquire after the health of Members of the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah and Nauman Islam Shaikh, and later visited the residence of former Speaker Sindh Assembly, late Agha Siraj Khan Durrani, to offer Fateha and condolences to the bereaved family.
During his visit to the residence of MNA Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, the NA Speaker expressed best wishes and prayed for his speedy and complete recovery. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said he was hopeful that Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah would soon resume his active role in the proceedings of the National Assembly. Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah thanked the Speaker for his visit and kind sentiments.
The Speaker also visited the residence of MNA Nauman Islam Shaikh to inquire about his health. Chief Whip of the Pakistan People's Party and MNA Ijaz Hussain Jakhrani was also present on the occasion. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq conveyed his warm wishes and offered prayers for Nauman Islam Shaikh's early recovery, expressing hope that he would soon return to the National Assembly in good health. Nauman Islam Shaikh expressed gratitude to the Speaker for his visit.
Later, the NA Speaker visited the residence of former Speaker Sindh Assembly and senior politician, late Agha Siraj Khan Durrani, where he met his son, Agha Shahbaz Khan Durrani. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq offered heartfelt condolences and paid rich tribute to the late leader's political and democratic services, saying his conduct as Speaker of the Sindh Assembly was exemplary and marked by impartiality and justice.
The Speaker prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and for patience and strength for the bereaved family.
