Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has given final deadline to planning division for releasing funds in the case of construction of Bhong Interchange on Multan-Sukkar motorway besides adjourning hearing of the case till September 8.
The court has warned if funds are not released now then secretary will be called and charge will be framed against him. Justice Muhammad Asif heard the case.
Waqar Rana counsel for the petitioner Raees Munir appeared in the court and said this is case of implementation of article 187. Project should have been completed two and half year earlier. Now finance and planning are not providing funds.
Counsel for NHA said this is project of BSDP and we have only to implement it.
Counsel Waqar Rana requested that commission should visit venue of project and see what is being done therein. They will do nothing unless secretary planning is called. Secretary planning and finance division are committing contempt of court.
