Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered to record evidence again against Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha in controversial tweets case.

Justice Azam Khan of IHC directed trial court to record the evidences again within 3 days.

Justice Azam Khan said directives are being given to trial court to record the evidences again without going to merits.

Riasat Ali Azad advocate took the plea we have to attach record including Supreme Court (SC) order. Time be given. The power of attorney of senior counsel Faisal Siddiqui has come. He will give arguments on next hearing.

Justice Azam Khan said SC has ordered us to decide the case early.

Riasat Ali Azad advocate took the plea the SC has directed to give decision by hearing both the respondents.

Assistant Attorney General (AAG) said all the record is available before the court. The decision can be given.

Riasat Ali Azad said other trials in addition to it too are running. Such haste is not being shown in those cases. Fair trial is right of the accused. Opportunity be given.

AAG said this is another attempt for delaying the case.

Riasat Ali Azad advocate raised the question are not we allowed to present record. If you have not any regard for the trial then lift them and arrest them from here.

Justice Azam Khan remarked there is exemption in trial only for this reason that trial is not affected. Imaan was not present in the court then was pleader present.

Hadi Ali Chatha said pleader has not been appointed so much so that even the counsel was not present in the court.

Riasat Ali Azad took the plea there was application from Imaan Mazari that she was sick, therefore, the hearing be adjourned.

The court inquired from state counsel he will get record evidence again in how much time.

AAG said what evidence has been recorded is legal.

Riasat Ali Azad took the plea give us time if the case has to be heard on merit. Faisal Siddiqui will give arguments.

Justice Azam Khan said then we are fixing the case for tomorrow. Ask Faisal Siddiqui to come.

Riasat Ali Azad advocate said it will not be possible for him to come tomorrow. Fix case on Monday or Tuesday. we are not going to merits.

Justice Azam Khan remarked we are ordering to record the evidence again.

The court remarked with the mutual consent of both the respondents it is directed to record the evidence again.
