Dhalkot: The convoy of President Istehkam-e- Pakistan Party and former prime minister Azad Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Illyas Khan was attacked by armed persons at Tain, Dhalkot resulting in the martyrdom of his personal guard SSG Commando Muhammad Asif and injury of several others. Several vehicles were also damaged in the result of the attack. Sardar Tanveer Illays remained safe in the attack.

Former prime minister AJK Sardar Tanveer Illyas was going to Rawalakot on a two-day visit along with party leaders and workers. It has been alleged in the details shared on the facebook page of Sardar Tanveer Illays that the armed workers of the banned Awami Action Committee targeted the vehicle of Tanveer Illyas resulting in the martyrdom of his personal guard SSG Commando Muhammad Asif.

Sardar Muhammad Asif Yousuf had retired some time ago after performing security responsibilities at the Prime Minister House and now was deputed on personal duty of Sardar Tanveer Illyas. Bullet hit the head of Sardar Asif Yousuf, he was shifted to the Kotli Sattian Hospital but he succumbed to injures. According to information, the situation in the area is tense after the stoppage of the way of the convoy of Sardar Tanveer Illyas. So far the local administration and law and enforcement agencies have not given any official stance regarding the incident.
