Lahore: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi says that country requires unity and solidarity in the current situation.

During a meeting with prominent Shia scholars from across the country in Lahore Tuesday, he urged religious scholars to promote brotherhood and unity.

They discussed matters related to effective security arrangements and a foolproof security plan for processions and gatherings on the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (R.A).

In view of the prevailing situation, it was agreed that all processions on the 21st of Ramadan, to be observed as the martyrdom day of Imam Ali (R.A), will conclude before Maghrib prayers.

On the occasion, all the prominent Shia scholars assured the Interior Minister of their full cooperation saying the conspiracies of the enemy would be foiled through unity.
